The way things stand in America today, those localities with elevated personal tax burdens are allowed to hide the real cost of their taxes by having them factored in only after the payment of wages or the purchase of goods.
This allows an employer or retailer in a high tax state to offer a price or wage that appears better, but is actually inferior once taxes are factored in. It also allows corrupt bargains where a state offers tax breaks to corporations to open a facility, then makes up for it by taxing the workers' paychecks while the wealthy executives and stockholders reap the benefits, safely sheltered in a low-tax state.
I ask that you require pre-tax and post-tax wages and prices to be displayed alongside each other. This will permanently end those unfair practices
