Term limits should be forced upon members of congress because one individual should not be given power for such a long time. John Dingell was a member of the House of Representatives for 57 years. If the people in his area 's needs were not being met, they could not do anything about it. It is unfair that congress should be able to stay in office and potentially abuse their power. The average approval rating of congress is 14%. New leadership is desperately needed. Old ideas and prejudices are still in control of congress. The people need to stand up and show these politicians that their time is up. if term limits are not issued, America is letting congress once again stomp over them.
