REQUIRE those running for any public office that requires a CONSTITUTIONAL OATH to pass a course on the CONSTITUTION.

Created by S.M. on January 29, 2013

Persons who hold public office are required to take an oath to 'preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.' Yet, most of those taking the oath DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THE 'CONSTITUTION' SAYS! To swear to something that one is not knowledgeable about is irresponsible. Elected officials should be held to a higher standard than the average Citizen. We the American people MUST hold these people accountable to their respective oaths by REQUIRING that anyone holding public office that requires an OATH to the CONSTITUTION - to PASS a basic course on the Constitution! If one is swearing to something, one MUST be knowledgeable about what one is swearing to. Passage of such a course would render said person "Constitutionally Qualified" aka "C.Q.'ed.
