Let's require price transparency in health care with one golden rule:
1. Patients must be able to easily obtain a price quotes on their out of pocket expenses for health care products and services before they are rendered. This must be satisfied regardless of provider and health insurer (because the price will initially be quite different for each).
This will bring market forces to health care and begin to incentive fair, efficient and increasingly consistent pricing for the consumer.
