Require Trigger Locks on All Firearms (New Federal Law)

Created by K.T. on December 22, 2012

Require all people with firearms including off-duty law enforcement officers and ex-military and retired personnel to have trigger locks on all firearms at all times when stored, transporting, or carrying-on-person when in public. Trigger locks must be on the firearm when any other persons are in household that are not registered or licensed to access the designated firearm. No firearm can be sold without a trigger lock. Keys for firearms must be secured and not accessible to non-registered or licensed persons for the designated firearm. Trigger locks must be on firearms when not in use at shooting galleries or other designated places where firearms can legally be used.

This can help to reduce the accidential shootings and lessen the access by those that should not have access.
