Require the United States Postal Service to hold the First Day Ceremony for the Harvey Milk stamp in San Francisco, CA.

Created by B.B. on March 03, 2014

Harvey Milk was the first openly gay person to be elected to any public office, he served on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors less than a year before being assassinated along with Mayor Moscone by Dan White on November 27, 1978.
The United States Postal Service currently has scheduled the Harvey Milk postage stamp release for May 22nd, 2014 Harvey Milk Day.
The USPS honors the individual featured on the stamp with a ceremony in a city that usually is related to that person. As it stands now the ceremony is not scheduled for San Francisco or any place close to it.
We urge the postal service to do the right thing and schedule the Ceremony for San Francisco on May 22, 2014 which is Harvey Milk Day.
