require universities profiting from their student-athletes' likeness to pay 1% of profits to said student-athletes

Today's universities, specifically those in Division-I football, generate enormous amount of revenue through their student-athletes who in turn see none of the profit. It used to be that receiving most or all of their education for free was enough, but not anymore. If the student-athletes cannot receive profits from games played, then they should at least be able to profit from the universities in question profiting from their likeness, i.e. jerseys, t-shirts, ect, sold on and throughout their campuses. A 1% cut of the profits should be sufficient compensation. With the amount of money in college football, this should be more than fair to all parties.
