November is a month in which men across the country grow mustaches to promote awareness of men's health issues. We can disagree on prospective policies but if our elected officials would participate in this event we may finally gain a sense of some national unity.
Of course females compose half of the population and female elected officials would not be required to grow mustaches in November. In turn Obama has worn pink bracelets in honor of breast cancer awareness, it seems fair our representatives grow mustaches to advocate health for men as well.
Even though our officials can not always agree on policy, it would be nice for them to demonstrate a basic level of teamwork on public health.
