We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Require use of environmentally friendly packaging for bottles and cans.

Created by S.F. on May 19, 2016

Our ecosystem is fragile, and we have all seen the images of wild animals caught in "six pack rings, or yokes", which have either died or have been severely deformed because of them being ingested, or stuck on or around their body.

This waste finds itself in our rivers, streams, lakes, and oceans. No matter how diligent some are about cleaning up their garbage, or cutting the holes in the rings to avoid entanglement, it still occurs way too often.

Humans already play a huge role in the decline of a species. Why can't we, with all of the technology and will today, create an Eco-friendly packaging and require it's use for all manufacturers and products which currently use the current methods?

I would gladly pay .05¢ more for a six pack of beer for this change.
