Require warning labels on all food products that contain synthetic dyes (food coloring) in them.

Created by S.M. on January 27, 2013

In 2010, the European Union required that most foods containing artificial coloring must have a warning label which states "may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children."

I understand that the FDA has yet to find sufficient evidence warranting a change to happen here in the United States. However, even if there isn't "sufficient" evidence to require warning labels, why do we need the extra chemicals in our food? I'm asking the administration to highly consider giving Americans the same respect that others have been given and require companies who so easily took synthetic food dyes out of their European products to do the same in America or add a warning label. For example, ingredients for Kraft Macaroni & Cheese in the UK does not list Yellow 5 & 6 but US Mac does.
