Require the White House and Federal Agencies to respond to all job applications within 45 days of receiving them

The White House has paid much lip service to the idea of helping unemployed veterans find jobs, but in the 1.5 years that I have been unemployed, I have applied to work at the White House five times and not received a single response. The same can be said for my applications to work for many other branches of the Federal Government. If the unemployed are going to commit 1-2 hours of their time to writing a resume and cover letter for a job posting, the very least the government should do is write them a short email response telling them that they were not selected. Job seekers of all types deserve the dignity of a timely response to their application.
