Require wireless carriers allow bootloader unlock on Android devices that are not subsized or attatched to a contract.

Created by C.M. on March 06, 2015

At the present, Developers of Android smartphones have a hurdle in the way of having of creating new software or enhancing existing software that improves the functionality and user experience of Android smartphones. This hurdle is the practice of locking bootloaders. The reason Android has been such a great innovation is open-source. Innovation is being stifled as those who can improve this technology are met with a road-block. I purchase my phones outright and have no contract to fulfill, therefore it infringes upon my right to use my own personal property in the way I see fit. As the phone manufacturers typically void any warranty upon unlocking the bootloader, there are no reasonable grounds to prevent a bootloader unlock. #unlockthedroids @medicbeard medicbeard@gmail.com
