Require women to enlist in the selective service.

Created by J.S. on January 23, 2012

As soon as a young man has turned 18 years old, they are required to enlist in the selective service. However, women are not required or encouraged to sign up for selective service.

This gender-bias proposes that women are not physically, mentally or emotionally able to serve in military draft in a war-time situation. It furthers the stereotypes that men and women will handle the situations too differently.

With the appeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell, soldiers can now openly serve without fear of their sexuality being exploited or used as blackmail. Why are we not justifying the same expectations of service to women be they straight or gay or trans-gendered?

The undersigned adhere that it is time to enforce a national policy to all people regardless of sexuality or gender.
