Currently, every qualified male US citizen between the ages of 18 and 25 must register for the draft. In order to further equality, women should also be required to register. This would increase the number of potential soldiers, make citizens more involved, and would promote equality in other areas. There cannot be gender equality when men have different responsibilities to their country then women do. By signing this petition, you ask Congress to approve a change to the Selective Service Act that would include women.
