Require women to sign up for selective service, now that combat related fields are open to them in the military.

Created by G.M. on August 24, 2013

Under current law, the general Selective Service Act has required most men to register within 30 days of their 18th birthday. giving the President the power to conscript them for military service.

On January 23, 2013, the Pentagon decided to end its policy of excluding women from combat positions.

In theory, this would unbar women from being able to register with the Selective Service, and afford them the same equal opportunity for a draft that men would face.
