This petition is to allow law enforcement officials to identify fire arms anually. This would generate income to help combat and offset the cost of illegal gun use and its finacial impact on society, First responders, police involvement, victim support, court cost, family financial assistance, support, mental and physical medical treatment and compensation. There is a cost and significant impact when guns and fire arms are used illegaly and irresponsibly. We cannot stop all illgal firearms use - yet there is a cost. Similar to fact we cannot stop drunk dirvers - but we can account for their irresposible acts. If you purchase a gun - it is your civil and social responsibility to make sure the gun is secured from theft and its illegal usage. Similar to car insurance.
