Required charity as a school class for all 6-12 graders to foster a better respect for life among youth & future adults

Created by R.C. on December 19, 2012

To much of young adults time is spent on classes learning facts, dates, times, names; among which a lot of this knowledge does is not retained with youth after the learning experience. Instead of 1 of these classes for every student, every semester, for grades 6-12 the student should join other students and teacher(s) / guardians in charity work equal to or similar to working at food bank, caring for elderly and the very young. A better list can be debated and created in the future. The purpose of these classes is to increase a respect for life and community in our young adults, along with social interaction. These qualities seem to be lacking in a lot of our more violent and troubled youth. The actions of these youth will also go directly to improving society and themselves.
