Requiring speed limiters on trucks would be catastrophic.

Created by C.B. on May 25, 2016

This effects one of the biggest occupations in America. We are the most regulated as it is, stop regulating an occupation you've never done. As a truck driver, I can say the most dangerous stretches of interstate are those enforcing split speeds. The cars want to zip around us, the trucks are in each others way. The problem is not that trucks go too fast. The problem is the car drivers who constantly look at their cell phone, are reaching for something, or are simply distracted. We are TRAINED professional drivers who have more miles backing up than most people have going forward. Ramp up enforcement on distracted driving, and see the effect. 80% of all accidents involving a semi is at the fault of the person driving the car. So, why regulate us? SAY NO TO GOVERNORS ON TRUCKS.
