The Controlled Substance Act gives the executive branch the authority to change the schedule or the classification of a drug. Currently Marijuana is listed under Schedule 1, the most harsh and restrictive category. You as President have the authority under current law to reschedule Marijuana from 1 to 3, the same as synthetic THC drug Marinol (Dronabinol).
