This petition is intended to raise awareness of the disastrous prohibition policies of our government and governments around the world. It is time for a more sound and relevant policy. Please stand with me and force OUR government to support policy that the people want.
Under scheduling requirements any schedule 1 drug is said to have high potential for abuse and addiction as well as have no accepted medical value. There are still federal medical marijuana patients which clearly shows accepted medical value. As well, methamphetamine and cocaine are scheduled lower than marijuana yet have been clearly shown to meet the schedule 1 requirements. It is time for a sensible policy that is consistent and realistic.
