This is the worst time for us to be giving away military weapons and equipment, especially those funded by taxpayers. Our economy is in shambles, and Americans are wary of the future. $213 million could go a long way to help the American people.
The deal was struck when Hosni Mubarak was president, and was an American ally. The new leader, Mohamed Morsi, is part of the Muslim Brotherhood and has shown ties to supporting terrorism in the Middle East. This should be #1 in not giving him fighter jets and tanks. We do no know where his loyalties lie. Mr. Obama said himself, "I don't think that we would consider them an ally, but we don't consider them an enemy".
