If you live in an area that has vehicle emission testing, you probably know a person who has become an emission testing 'casualty'. Plenty of good people, have owned vehicles that have failed an emission test and require extensive amounts of cash to 'repair'. I use that word loosely because repairsare not needed. To qualify for a waiver you must spend a certain amount of money on parts, even though no problem is present and the vehicle runs above perfect. Times are hard, especially if you own your own vehicle. There is no written proof that vehicle emission testing helps the environment. Not to mention the amount of people who find their way around the tests or entire states that don't have emission tests. Money for emission tests don't go to help the environment.
