Few government programs affect the people more universally or more deeply than the Affordable Care Act.
The Administration previously delayed the law's business mandate by one year, to January 1, 2015. Now, by delaying the start of 2015 enrollment to November 15, 2014, the Administration will allow employees and others who will be affected by the law for the first time in 2015 even less opportunity to plan for and select their coverage. Time is important given the potential for businesses to cancel company-provided health care coverage in favor of exchanges.
We the people elect members of Congress to represent us. By rescinding the delayed enrollment, people will have the opportunity to better understand how ACA affects them before deciding for whom to vote on November 4, 2014.
