RESCIND THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT LAND GRAB OF HALF A MILLION ACRES IN NEW MEXICO UNDER THE ANTIQUITIES ACT.

Ask President Obama to rescind setting aside nearly 500,000 acres in New Mexico for the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument by using his executive power under the "Antiquities Act." This is an excessive land grab by the Obama Administration. This law was intended to protect Native American artifacts and other historic or scientific assets. The President's designation threatens the safety of all Americans by creating unresolved security gaps along our border thus creating prime corridors for criminals, drug traffickers and illegal entrants into this country. Rather than the new land designation, please focus on existing criminal activities at the border and decrease the amount of acreage set aside for the National Monument.
