Homeownership, the flagship of our economy is sick due to legislation called the H.V.C.C. (Home Value Code of Conduct) which has severed the healthy relationship between the Homeowner and an Appraiser. To become healthy again we need to abolish the practices put in place by the H.V.C.C. and Return “The Homeowner and Appraiser Relationship” or Real Estate will never recover from this recession. The effects of the H.V.C.C. are driving down values of every home in America and any real recovery can never happen until home prices and homeowner equity starts to appreciate again. The Dodd Frank bill doesn't go far enough and there are no alternatives for the homowner who can't use the appraiser of his choice.
