Rescind the modified mandate requiring all private insurers to cover sterilization, contraception, and abortifacients.

Created by G.L. on February 12, 2012

We strongly oppose the Health and Human Services' mandate requiring all private insurers to cover contraception, sterilization, and abortifacients. Despite its recent "accommodation," the Obama Administration insists on compelling religiously affiliated employers to purchase health insurance that covers such procedures.

Under the appearance of compromise, this mandate coerces religious institutions and individuals who are employers to directly pay a health plan that covers such "services." The fact that employers do not tell the employees about these "services" does not void moral responsibility. The violation of conscience and religious freedom persists.

We respectfully urge the President to exempt all insurers and religiously affiliated employers from violating their consciences.
