Rescind the Navy Contract with Ingalls Shipbuilding due to State Senate Bill 1523 Legalizing Denial of Necessities

Created by E.F. on March 31, 2016

President Obama please rescind the $618 million dollar Navy contract with Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula Mississippi. The state of Mississippi is in the process of passing Senate Bill 1523 which would legalize the denial of goods and services based on religious bigotry. This law will even legalize the denial of basic needs such food, water, clothing and housing. Many groups will be protected by the Civil Rights Act of 1964. However, GLBT's among others are not protected by that law. The intent of Senate Bill 1523 is to harm unprotected groups of Americans. The federal government should not contribute to the economy of states like Mississippi that are harming American citizens.
