The granting of raises to the "least productive session of Congress", according to the US House Clerk's office, is an unconscionable misuse of power and betrayal of the American people in this current economic quagmire.
It is not deserved, and taking a raise for so obviously failing to act in their capacity as representatives of the people is a slap in the face to all hard-working people.
