WHAT IS DUCHENNE?
Duchenne is a catastrophic, progressive muscle disorder which robs our boys abilities to do the things that many of us take for granted. The cost of care for the families of Duchenne boys is outrageous!
Boys lose their ability to walk, breathe, eat and speak, eventually they die an agonising death often before they reach age 20. Their minds are unaffected so they know whats coming.
The government need to donate money into research to FIND A CURE. At the moment it is costing the taxpayer alot of money for care assistants, home improvements, etc; this money could be saved if we find a cure. There is a cure around the corner, we just need the funding. Please help us PETITION THE GOVERNMENT for funding for RESEARCH into this terrible condition.
