With water resources under ever increasing demand as highlighted by current California droughts, the future of the western United States is dependent available water resources and how we manage them. Many other regions have an excess of water, which could be used to provide much needed relief as well as create new airrible land in places which are currently not productive. Without detailed research and objective comparison, we sit at an standstill powered by rhetoric and not fact. A project of this magnitude will impact ecosystems, however our current policies and progress will also encroach and eliminate various habitats.
