Metaphors are used in Language ALL THE TIME. Language conveys meaning and abstract thoughts impede commonly everything a scientist knows but is locked up in their brains. What happens when scientists can't explain impeding doom. telling us we're all gonna die doesn't help. Been there don't work. We need research into Extended Metaphor to help explain the complicated concepts Scientists come up with so they are practical. The accessibility of research is a pertinent question in point of fact addressed today 2/22/2013 by the president on government research. BUT If research into climate change or color changing underwear is so obtuse, what good is it. None. So make a metaphorical induction through extended metaphor supported discourse instead of the realm of poetry!
