We request that the government conduct research into the viability of building a Hyperloop, Evacuated Tube Transport (ET3), and similar concepts. Determine if these models would work in the real world like they do on paper. Are the estimated speeds, costs, and safety promises realistic?
If the above study shows promise, build a working prototype. The most promising model needs to be tested, and all bugs worked out before it can be expected to be considered as a serious alternative to rail. Then, with solid data and estimates, state governments will be able to make more informed decisions about how to spend their tax dollars.
