We hear the calls to treat this 19 year old in Boston who allegedly did these heinous acts as an enemy combatant. We need to say no. He is a US citizen. He needs a lawyer. He needs to be presumed innocent. He needs a speedy trial. And if guilty, then by all means throw the book at him. But no water-boarding, no secret prisons, none of that. Let's make this second term of this administration one in which we reclaim the checks and balances of a three branch democracy. Cede your power Mr. President. Let the courts handle this as they properly should. No martial law. No endless war-on-anything eroding our freedoms any more.
