We call on the president and public to affirm:
I believe in the dignity of all humans, that each of us is deserving of the same rights, considerations and compassion. Therefore, I choose now to commit to action.
I acknowledge that violence traumatizes for generations. Violence is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Therefore, I pledge a strong, nonviolent resistance against persecution, against hate, against systemic discrimination.
I pledge to resist all forms of bullying and trauma and assault and belittling, whether it is on the basis of gender, or race, or ethnicity, or political political affiliation, or who we love.
I pledge to resist waiting for others to step forward first. I pledge to act.
From this day forward, I am America's human shield.
