We call upon the President of this great Nation to respect the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution. Specifically, to NOT advocate more Gun Control Legislation, but to instead direct the Department of Justice to ENFORCE CURRENTLY EXISTING gun laws to the maximum extent allowed.
The recent killings of 20 innocent school children and 6 school staff members in Newtown, CT, was heinous act that was perpetrated by a person of dubious mental capacity.
The fact that this was carried out with weapons that he ILLEGALLY stole from his mother after murdering her, reflects NOT a need for MORE gun control, but instead stronger enforcement of existing laws.
Enacting yet more gun laws, punishing the legal responsible gun owners will never deter the criminal actions of a mentally deranged individual.
