To the Obama administration,
Please stand firmly behind the rights of law-abiding gun owners. In the wake of tragedy that has befallen our country and touched our hearts, we entreat you to address the real issue of mental health and wellness; that the safety of our loved ones might be guaranteed by improving the lives of our fellow man, not restricting our second amendment rights.
Nor should those rights be imposed upon by murky definitions of legality in one firearm versus another. A weapon must be considered simply and only that. What must be held accountable are people.
Our rights are not forfeit when we are challenged. Difficult times require us to be stronger; to set an example for new generations and preserve our rights to pass on with faith in our future, not fear of the past.
