After the events in Newtown, Connecticut, President Obama has spoken out against the lax gun laws in our nation. He seems to feel that even with stronger laws and regulations, American citizens would still be able to defend themselves against crime and violence. If this is in fact the case, there should be no need for the President to maintain a private bodyguard force, the Secret Service, that possesses gun rights ordinary citizens do not. Therefore, We the People request that the Secret Service's Presidential security detail be made to comply with all federal firearm laws, regulations, and orders.
