respect low income disable individuals and families who have section 8 program for affordable housing.

Created by V.P. on July 13, 2012

As of July 1, 2012, the City of West Hollywood will no longer have its own Housing Authority. That means all Section 8 Program assisted families residing in the City of West Hollywood will be converted to the Los Angeles County Payment Standards and Subsidy Standards. These Standards are too bad for people trying to keep their current apartments because they have to pay much more. Moreover, LA County Subsidy Standards are unacceptable;for example, family that consists of two people should have permission to live in two bedroom apartment(exluding married couples) So, We demand the LA County should preserve current Payment and Subsidy Standards, which originate from The City of West Hollywood. Why should the poor pay for somebody's obligations? We think,it violates the Constitution .
