Since President Obama has taken office, his administration has not only continued to enforce prohibition against medical marijuana, but has even stepped up enforcement. We believe this is a fundamental violation of civil rights, and that to deny patients a medicinal product that they find therapeutic is inhumane. We petition President Obama to use his position at the head of the executive branch of government to end enforcement of federal marijuana laws and leave it to the states to regulate medical marijuana.
