respect those who petition for peaceful secession of their states from the union as this is a First Amendment right.

The First Amendment guarantees freedom of speech with certain restrictions. Since the various petitioners for state secession have included the word "peaceful" or have indicated desires to "remain allies" with the United States in the wording of their documents, they are not violating any of the restrictions of the amendment regarding incitement.
