As Vice President Biden convenes his task force on gun control, we ask that he respect the views of many American that there is no valid reason for private citizens to own firearms. Millions of Americans have never held, shot or owned a gun in our lives, and do not believe we are any the poorer for it. Gun violence in America will not end until Americans are not longer allowed to own guns. Starting from a position that all Americans believe in a right to private gun ownership is incorrect. Framing gun ownership as “right” is just plain wrong.
