Respectfully ignore the petition from misguided Arkansans, requesting permission for Arkansas to secede from the U.S.

Some citizens of Arkansas have petitioned the Obama administration for the right to secede from the United States. This misguided attempt was begun without the consent of the people of Arkansas. Consequently, it does not meet the needs of the people, and, in fact, will do Arkansans much harm than good. They should be forgiven for their ignorance, but they shouldn't be allowed to harm fellow citizens of Arkansas and the United States.
