I propose a removal of religion having a heavy hand in our government. Our government acts on values and beliefs derived from the Christian God and the Bible. Moreover, values extracted from the Bible garner enough support to have an impact on our society. These values are holding us back in science, human rights, and even cause us to be unfavorably looked upon by other nations.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." - The First Amendment
The US was never meant to be a theocracy; why are we continuing to run it as one? We must be realistic, and humble God.
