We the undersigned request your immediate response to the occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. The occupation of these lands has continued for long enough.
Think Progress reports a loss to daily loss to Harney County of $70,000 a day, $23,400 to federal taxpayers, and $40,000 in lost tourism revenue, for a daily loss of $133,400.
On 01/20/16 Oregon Gov. Kate Brown wrote to you personally requesting assistance in ending this unlawful occupation.
By allowing this terrorist organization to continue an illegal and dangerous occupation you are emboldening them and other likeminded extremists. The actions of Ammon Bundy and his crew of armed hooligans must be stopped peacefully if possible, but forcefully is necessary.
