Israel needs to stop the building of new settlements & dismantle all existing settlements illegally built in the West Bank and Golan Heights. The United Nations, The United States and the rest of the international community have long considered the settlements to be illegal. Why is Israel allowed to continue to build new settlements and not dismantle the existing ones? According to the Yesha Council, 382,031 Jewish settlers lived in the 121 officially recognized settlements in the West Bank (as of 6/30/14). Over 300,000 Israelis lived in settlements in East Jerusalem and over 20,000 lived in settlements in the Golan Heights. It’s time for the illegal colonization of Palestinian land & blind support for Israel to end and for The White House to lead the way.
