Since so many Representatives are calling for drug screenings for welfare recipients, we should also drug test Senators and Congresspersons. Each Representative receives far more government benefits than any welfare recipient and likely does less work for it. Almost literally, the drug test results cannot possibly be any lower than the welfare recipients of Arizona (1 in 87,000, or one positive drug after testing every one of the 535 Representative twice a year for 81 years). While welfare recipients generally only carry low responsibility jobs, Representatives hold the fate of the world in their hands. Sobriety is clearly paramount for our Representatives. Finally, based on their performance and actions, it obvious that Congress and the Senate has a drug problem.
