The incident of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 should serve as a wake up call to the aviation community as well as to the whole world. In order to assure that lives do not go unaccounted for as has been the case in MH370, I am certain the Obama Administration should do all in its power to ensure that every flight corporation or individual operating routes to, from, or within the United States must, in order to continue operations, replace the currently used radio detection and ranging (RADAR) system with the Global Positioning System (GPS). This move would ensure timely information regarding flights such as MH370 and allow expedient and efficient responses to all such incidents. The leap to the GPS system will also enable tracking of aircraft on the ground and at "under the RADAR" altitudes.
