Responsible Gun-ownership

Created by R.C. on October 01, 2015

Today crime and mass shootings seem to be taking a toll on America and her children. But the gun debate tends to tear American's apart just as much as other social issues.

I feel the best way to regulate guns is to allow those who have proven themselves responsible with guns, to own them while others who have committed serious crimes should not.

Additionally, those individuals who have proven responsible and passed extensive background checks and participated in some form of a safety course (law enforcement or military) should be privileged to own a gun.

You must have also been a citizen of the United States for a set time to be able to own a gun. This would ensure immigrants and illegals could not purchase a weapon legally. Lastly, a rewards program for responsible ownership.
