Restart and update the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program.

The Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program or HPRP was considered one of most successful policies enacted to reduce homelessness in American history. The program was granted 1.5 billion dollars of federal funding in 2009, but federal funding became no longer available in September 2012 when the programs funding ran dry. This program not only prevented families and individuals on the verge of homelessness from becoming homeless but also helped people who were already homeless. The success of this program has been unrivaled and this is why I propose that the government should re-enact this program and grant it new funding, so we as a country can solve homelessness in America.
