restart Project Orion. A project to create a rocket engine to take us to Jupiter in 4 years with 2 year stop at Mars.

This petition is to get the Government to restart their project to take humanity to the farthest reaches of the stars. This project will be humanities greatest achievement, in that it will allow humanity to survive any global disaster. Project Orion was first conceived in 1955, since then we could have put whole cities of people on Mars. Humanity could finally break the bonds of Earth and realize our potential as a space faring people. It will also give us the potential to go out and find the answers we all all seek: Who are we? where do we come from? what is the meaning to life? The great questions of humanity will be answered, but only if the Government will let us find the answers.
